FED:Queensland still needs you, Bligh appeals

Queensland Premier ANNA BLIGH is asking people to adopt a generous spirit towards the
federal government's controversial flood levy.

She's admitted there's been "a little bit of confusion" about the levy .. and has told
ABC radio .. "Australia, Queensland still needs you.

Opinion polls indicate strong opposition to the planned levy to help fund the rebuilding
of roads, rail lines, bridges and other public infrastructure.

Ms BLIGH says she thinks many Australians feel they've already made generous donations
.. and says these are going directly to Queensland families and individuals.
