Sports fans and advertisers would be the ultimate losers in theNational Basketball Association's plan to limit the number of gamesshown on cable superstations, lawyers for the Chicago Bulls andWGN-Channel 9 said during closing arguments Wednesday in a U.S.District Court lawsuit.
In the suit, WGN and the Bulls seek to increase the number ofgames broadcast on WGN to 41 each season. The NBA wants to reducethe number to zero. WGN is scheduled to broadcast about 30 gamesthis season.
