WELLS FARGO SAYS PUBLIC STILL FINDS CONTACTLESS 'FOREIGN'.

Though contactless cards are gaining some ground, issuers say the product needs more marketing. "Taking contactless payments is still very foreign," Peter Ho, vice president and product manager for card services at Wells Fargo & Co., said at SourceMedia's CTST conference in Orlando, Fla. Wells Fargo began issuing Visa-branded contactless debit and credit cards in 2006. Ho called upon the card brands to create more commercials that explain the advantages and use of contactless cards.
