GRANT COTTAGE SITE TO OPEN FOR SEASON.(CAPITAL REGION)

WILTON -- The Ulysses S. Grant Cottage State Historic Site will open for the season on Saturday, May 23.

The Civil War general came to the cottage, which has a spectacular view of the Hudson Valley from its Eastern Outlook, in the summer of 1885 to finish his memoirs. He died there July 23 of that year.
