Qld: Christmas comes late for two Queenslanders
BRISBANE, Dec 31 AAP - Christmas came a few days late for the two Queenslanders who
shared in Gold Lotto's $22 million draw.
With a post-Christmas cash injection of $1.4 million each, a 40-year-old construction
worker from Mackay and a 60-year-old grandmother from Proserpine are now drawing up fresh
new year plans.
The Mackay Gold Lotto winner plans to use his windfall to hold the biggest New Year's
bash ever, paying off his debts and playing lots of golf.
The Proserpine grandmother plans to fulfil her lifelong dream of travelling around
Australia in a motorhome.
The two Queensland winners, who both wished to remain anonymous, were among 17 people
Australia-wide who shared in Gold Lotto's biggest ever draw on Saturday night.
